After releasing footage on Instagram of an overly eager fan repeatedly groping his bum, Peter Andre sparked quite a debate with his recent social media post.
The I’m A Celebrity contestant and musician posted a video from Music in the Park, an Australian festival he played at in December.
He was observed teetering on a barrier step to get up close and personal with his followers, but it appears that one fan took the invitation too far.
As the 50-year-old, clad in grey pants, a bedazzled black denim jacket, and sunglasses, swayed his hips while dancing and holding the hand of one woman in the throng, another boldly grabbed his behind and rubbed her palm over it.
Without wasting a beat, Peter leaned down to detach her paw from his person before raising his arm to sway with the throng.
The Mysterious Girl chart-topper posted the cheeky video on Saturday, writing in the caption: ‘Erm…. I mean I should complain but she was kinda gentle ish 😂♥️’
He added the hashtags ‘good vibes’ and ‘butt grab’ – although many of his followers failed to see the lighter side of things like him.
‘Oh dear! How difficult is it to respect one’s personal space? Plus, he’s married for God’s sake! If the shoe was on another foot, Peter would have been in serious trouble. Hope you ok @peterandre [sic],’ commented one.
‘Um no this is assault Peter, you are entitled to personal space, if it were a man doing it to a female performer he’d be arrested!’ pointed out another fan.
A different follower simply stated: ‘Bro, that’s not ok. People need to keep their hands to themselves.’
Others branded the handsy fan’s behaviour as ‘absolutely shocking’ and ‘so uncomfortable to watch’.
‘That’s just not classy! 😞 If she has a partner and someone did that to them, I bet her response would be different,’ wrote one follower.
However, some were less bothered by it as one shared that they were ‘glad he could see the funny side’.
Another joked: ‘A 2 second grope and you made her day @peterandre 😝👍’
One fan also called those complaining in the comments ‘salty Karens’.
‘Peter’s still got it 😉,’ they added in a quip.
The father-of-four recently admitted to’stressing’ after Princess, 15, acquired her first boyfriend.
According to The Sun, the singer said, while talking about daughters growing up to get their first boyfriends: ‘My daughter’s going through that, I’m stressing like you would not believe.
‘So that side of it, it’s just not fun.’
Princess is Peter’s second kid with his 45-year-old former Katie Price, following 17-year-old Junior.
He and his doctor and author wife Emily MacDonagh have two children, Amelia, nine, and Theo, six.
The couple married in 2015.
