This simple hairdryer hack is the key to instant volume

We are always in search of ways to add volume and life to our hair.

If you were not naturally born with height in your roots, it can be difficult to seek out.

However, a new hack is here that promises to maximise volume in your tresses.

The tip is the brainchild of Helen Reavy, a hairstylist and founder of Act and Acre, and it even has Love Island presenter Laura Whitmore as a fan.

In a clip on Act and Acre’s Instagram page, Helen uses a hairbrush to section her roots, brushing down then back up again.

It is very much like back-brushing – without the frizz and intense damage.

She then blasts the section of hair with hot air for five to eight seconds, before treating it with three to five seconds of cold air.

Next, she releases the locks, brushes them out, and her hair is immediately full of volume and secrets.

Those in the comments were seriously impressed about the level of volume in their hair, following the hack.

‘Mind blown,’ wrote one viewer.

‘Good lord we used to do this in the 1970s and the 1980s,’ quipped another.
