Laura Hamilton has given fans a glimpse at her new home, revealing she has ‘big plans’ for the renovation.
The A Place In The Sun presenter, 39, took to Instagram to share a photo of her standing proudly in front of her new pad with scaffolding seen erected around it.
She told her followers: ‘The scaffolding is up and the renovation begins… It’s no secret I love renovating properties. I love turning something run down in to something special…’
Revealing that the red brick home in Surrey would soon be getting a major makeover, Laura added: ‘Yesterday my planning application was validated, and whilst I now have a couple of months before I can (hopefully) start the major work, in the meantime I’m making a start on repairing the roof and repointing the brickwork!’
While she is usually found in sunnier climes picking out properties for people moving abroad, Laura put her skills into practise to find herself a gem in Surrey.
She also gave her followers a glimpse inside the home as she shared a snap of the ‘beautiful sash windows that need some [love]’.
Laura also posted a photo of a perfectly styled clear side table with a lamp and some flowers on it, adding: ‘I have BIG plans for my new home, but in the meantime, it’s cosy with lots of lamps, candles and flowers…’
The presenter recently announced she and husband Alex Goward were splitting after 13 years of marriage.
Laura, who shares two children with Alex, wrote at the start of January: ‘This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated.
‘Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time. Laura.’
