Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey has shared a touching message to her ‘hero’ after he received a stable scan on his brain tumour this week.

The Wanted star had revealed he was going on his 33rd birthday for an MRI scan and later gave fans the great news that his stage four glioblastoma tumour was stable, even showing signs of a reduction after treatment.

Sharing an image of Tom celebrating his birthday with their two children, Aurelia and Bodhi, and a cake calling him a ‘superhero hubby/daddy’, Kelsey praised Tom for his bravery over the last year.

Kelsey wrote: ‘Click of the fingers and your whole life can be turned upside down. 35 weeks pregnant (with our Bodhi boy) and we were told the most hard hitting devastating news. My @tomparkerofficial had a brain tumour, the beads of sweat, echo within my head and leg shaking is something I will never forget.

‘Nearly a year on since diagnosis and he has had another stable scan with reduction. I am so proud of my husband- he truly is my hero.’

She continued: ‘On the darkest of days when we have cried and held each other and those days when we have put the bravest faces on when deep down inside have crumbled.

‘You have to fight with all you have, cancer has an amour you must throw bombs at it from all directions.

‘Stable MRI is all we could ever wish for. Thomas Parker- you are an inspiration to us all. Just because we carry it well- doesn’t mean it isn’t heavy.’

Tom was overcome with emotion at the message, adding: ‘’m not crying.I love you more than you could ever know.’

He had earlier updated fans on the results of the scan he had had on his birthday, writing: ‘Ok..here goes. The last couple of days have been filled with dread and worry but I’m pleased to announce that the results of yesterday’s scan (lovely birthday present), are stable with a slight reduction in the tumour if anything.

‘I can’t tell you how grateful I am to receive this news. We left it a little longer between scans this time just to give time for the medication to work etc but overall a great day.

‘Thanks to all our healthcare team. You are truly wonderful. And thank you all you lovely people out there sending love snd support. It really is so appreciated. Time to celebrate.’

Tom had been diagnosed with the incurable brain tumour last year and has had gruelling chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments for it.

A previous scan had also revealed that the tumour had had a reduction in size and the latest scans also showed positive results.

He is currently working on a documentary about his battle with the brain tumour as well as hosting a charity concert of the same name – In My Head – at the Royal Albert Hall on September 20.
