A1 singer Ben Adams has become a first-time father after welcoming a baby girl with his fiancee Sara Skjoldnes.
The 39-year-old announced his little girl’s arrival on Sunday, sharing a cute photo of him snuggled up to the sleeping newborn.
‘Meet Skylar Skjoldnes Adams,’ he proudly told his followers. ‘Arrived on 25/09/21 at 20.41 (due date) and she slept next to me most of the night.’
‘Amazing. In awe of @saraskjoldnes (and every other woman that has gone through childbirth tbh)……thank goodness I didn’t have to do that!’ he joked.
He added in an Instagram post: ‘And yes I cut the umbilical chord, and no I didn’t eat the placenta.’
Ben was flooded with congratulatory messages from his celebrity pals, with Craig David writing: ‘Congratulations to you both❤️💫 So happy for you.’
S Club 7 singer Jo O’Meara added: ‘Sending you both a huge congratulations.’
Michael Jackson’s nephew TJ Jackson said: ‘Big congrats Ben. Enjoy every minute.’
Former X Factor star Amelia Lily chimed in: ‘Congratulations ❤️❤️.’
Just a day before Skylar was born, Ben shared a photo of his partner Sara cradling her baby bump while posing next to him.
He told his followers: ‘So we have reached due date! Had a few ‘is it happening, is it not?’ moments over the last few weeks. But she seems too comfortable in there so we’re just trying to enjoy our last moments of freedom……….but I’m probably the most impatient person in the world so she better hurry up before my mind explodes 😂.
‘I’m not on tour, the house is ready, the room is ready, the car has a roof box for all the extra stuff so what are you waiting for?! Norway opens up fully today so there’s a chance I’ll be allowed into the hospital for the whole thing rather than just the actual birth 🥰.’
The pop star added: ‘🇳🇴 if you havnt been one of the millions following the journey on @thebabypoodcast then there is still time so check it out! [sic].’
Ben rose to fame as a member of 1990s boy band A1 alongside Paul Marazzi, Christian Ingebrigtsen and Mark Read. The group were best known for the hits Take On Me and Same Old Brand New You.
