If anyone gets emotional seeing grooms cry upon seeing their brides, it’s time to grab a box of tissues.
Alfred Molina teared up as he married girlfriend Jennifer Lee in a romantic backyard wedding.
Frozen director Jennifer, 49, confirmed their wedding as she posted a series of pictures from their big day, including one where the couple held hands and kissed.
A shot from the ceremony saw Alfred, 68, touch his bride’s face as actor Jonathan Groff officiated the ceremony beneath an arch of roses, while Jennifer also gave a closer look at her embellished tulle tea dress.
However, it was the second photo in the slideshow that really tugged at the heartstrings, as Spider-Man 2 star Alfred clasped his hands to his face as he teared up, seemingly upon seeing his bride.
No, you’re crying.
Jennifer captioned the post: ‘We did. We do’, with Frozen star Josh Gad commenting: ‘Oh my God!!!! Yes!!!! Congrats!!!!!! Love you both so much!’
The director, who is the chief creative officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios, also shared a picture of herself with Jonathan Groff, and wrote: ‘This beautiful, generous soul is the reason Fred and I met. We owe him the world.’
Jonathan and Alfred worked together on a 2012 production of Red and the 2014 series The Normal Heart, while the actor voiced Kristoff in Frozen.
Alfred joined the cast of the animated sequel, voicing Agnarr, Elsa and Anna’s father.
Alfred and Jennifer’s wedding comes 16 months after the death of the Chocolat actor’s wife Jill Gascoigne, who died aged 83 in April 2020, eight years after being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease.

The C.A.T.S. Eyes actress met Alfred in 1982 and they married four years later in Tower Hamlets, remaining legally married until her death.
However, Jennifer first shared a picture with the actor in 2018 and they confirmed their relationship the following year.
Calling Alzheimer’s a ‘cowardly disease’, Alfred told the Guardian in 2016: ‘My marriage is in a strange place now because my wife is in a very advanced stage of Alzheimer’s. I looked after her for a few years at home, but she began to need specialised care that I wasn’t able to provide, so we found a very nice home for her over two years ago.
‘It has been tough, but no tougher than what a lot of others go through. I went to a support group and to therapy for people in my situation; the stories I heard of sacrifice and hardship made me realise I had nothing to complain about.’
After they went public, Jennifer told the New York Times of their low-key romance: ‘I just feel very lucky because I’m, you know, 48 years old and I’m very happy in my family life and he’s very caring and very good to my daughter. And so I feel lucky.’
It is the second marriage for both stars; Jennifer was previously married to Robert Joseph Monn, with whom she shares 18-year-old daughter Agatha, who voiced a young Anna in the first Frozen film.
Alfred – who is set to reprise his role as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man: No Way Home – also has a daughter, Rachel, from a previous relationship.Credit: Original article published here.
