Amanda Holden reveals cheeky Simon Cowell sent her a walking frame for 50th birthday

Amanda Holden has revealed she got a rather cheeky gift from Simon Cowell for her 50th birthday – as he sent her a walking frame.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed that her boss and friend, Simon, 61, had sent her a joke gift for her milestone birthday.

Amanda shared a snap of the walking frame with a big yellow bow and a note from the music mogul on it, which she found very amusing reading: ‘’Dear Amanda, Though you might need this. Love, Simon x’.

She told her followers: ‘Thank you to my hilarious friend @simoncowell for my wonderful gift,’ along with a crying-laughing emoji and a heart.

Thankfully, as well as the walking frame, Amanda was spoiled rotten by her husband Chris Hughes and their two daughters Lexi, 15, and Hollie, nine.

Amanda told her followers: ‘How did This happen! Half a century.. time flies. . Thank you for all your kind & loving messages today.. my husband Chris and my gorgeous girls have spoiled me rotten and it’s still going.

‘My friends have sent the most hilarious messages & presents and made this day extra special ..I can’t wait to celebrate in a HUGE way when we can..

‘I’m 50 all year and all year we’re gonna party. Hang on to your loved ones. It’s nearly over.’

Simon’s wasn’t the only cheeky birthday message she received as Piers Morgan also made a tongue-in-cheek wish for her big day.

Piers was a guest on her Heart radio breakfast show on which he joked that he had ‘got out of bed on my day off’ just for her.

He then added: ‘I am loving your work in this pandemic, Amanda Holden. It’s lovely to see you with some clothes on today,’ referring to her frequent bikini photos on Instagram.
