Amy Macdonald has asked admirers not to come to her house.
In a Sunday post, the 35-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter also claimed that a recent fan contact had gone too far.
The hitmaker wrote on Instagram: ‘I am so grateful for all my amazing fans but it’s never okay to turn up at my home.’
Amy added: ‘Please don’t do it. It’s incredibly scary for me as innocent as it may be.’
While the actress did not provide any further information, her statement about the scenario being ‘very terrifying’ hints that fans had already discovered her home location.
Amy’s 157,000 followers received the critical message.
Amy’s newest social media statement comes just weeks after she sarcastically asked Glasgow City municipality to fix the city’s potholes by recommending the municipality hire none other than A-lister Arnold Schwarzenegger to do the job.
Retweeting a video of 75-year-old Arnold tending to potholes last month, Amy wrote: ‘Get him phoned @GlasgowCC.’
As it turns out, Arnold wasn’t actually filling in a pothole, but an important service trench.

At the time, Arnold wrote on social media: ‘Today, after the whole neighbourhood has been upset about this giant pothole that’s been screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks, I went out with my team and fixed it.’
However, the ‘pothole’ was really a SoCalGas service trench related to ongoing work being undertaken by the firm.
‘This location is not a pothole,’ a spokesperson said.
‘It’s a service trench that relates to active, permitted work being performed at the location by SoCalGas, who expects the work to be completed by the end of May.
‘As is the case with similar projects impacting city streets, SoCal Gas will be required to repair the area once their work is completed.’
