Ashley Cain’s baby daughter Azaylia has been rushed to hospital again for another transfusion, with his partner Safiyya Vorajee saying it’s to prevent the eight-month-old from ‘bleeding out’.
Azaylia, who is battling a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia, has been in hospital numerous times over the past week for platelet transfusions, with Ashley and Safiyya sharing the family’s battle on social media.
They recently told fans Azaylia had been ‘bleeding prosufely’ and had the transfusions in order to keep her comfortable after doctors told the parents her cancer was terminal and she may only have days to live.
Today Safiyya shared an update to social media, telling fans they were forced to take the little one back to hospital.
As Azaylia was seen in the background with eye packs on to ‘prevent the swelling’, Safiyya explained: ‘Back to the hospital to have a platelet transfusion.
‘It’s to help the blood clot and prevent bleeding out.’

Last week Safiyya revealed Azaylia’s tears had blood in them, saying on Instagram: ‘We’ve just gone back into hospital to get Azaylia another platelet transfusion because last night the tears started having blood in them, so we needed more platelets.’
Tapping the drip, she added: ‘This is our saviour right now.’
Ashley had earlier revealed that the lack of platelets could result in the baby bleeding out.
He explained: ‘Because of her blood cancer it means it eats away at the cells that help to clot the blood, so with the tumours, plus the lack of platelets in her body, that means she could bleed out from the inside and that’s no way for Azaylia to go.’
The Ex On The Beach star went on: ‘If that can preserve us for one day, two days, three days, every day’s a blessing. Let’s go, champ.’

In recent days, Ashley and Safiyya have been using cold compresses on Azaylia’s eyes as she struggled to keep them open.
However, the family saw a breakthrough on Sunday with Ashley telling his Instagram followers: ‘Another day to count our blessings…
‘We’ve had another very tough day today. To be honest, every single day is a very tough day.
‘We don’t take Azaylia out of our site [sic] for a single second at the moment, caring for her every need. Today was the first time for days that she has been able to open her eyes. The swelling and the blood in her tears is causing her pain and forcing them to stick and shut.
‘But with relentless care and improvisation we’ve managed to help her see the world again.’
The couple had planned to take Azaylia to Singapore for a year-long course of intensive treatment, with fans raising over £1.5million to go towards her care, but they were given the devastating news that the treatment would no longer be possible.
