Ashley Cain’s partner Safiyya Vorajee has revealed the parents have had to rush their baby Azaylia to the hospital for the second time this week for another transfusion after the eight-month-old began bleeding.
Azaylia is battling a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia and had to be taken to hospital after bleeding profusely on Sunday night, with reality star Ashley saying they had demanded she receive a platelet transfusion.
Sharing an update on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon from the hospital, Safiyya said they returned for more platelets after her bleeding resumed and her tears began to have blood in them.
In the clip Ashley could be seen cradling the pair’s daughter, who was hooked up to the IV drip, as they swayed to music playing in the background.
Safiyya said: ‘We’ve just gone back into hospital to get Azaylia another platelet transfusion because last night the tears started having blood in them, so we needed more platelets.’
Tapping the drip, she added: ‘This is our saviour right now.’

Yesterday she revealed that the previous platelet transfusion Azaylia was given only stopped the bleeding temporarily, but she was grateful to still be able to wake up with her daughter.
‘Azaylia had a 30min transfusion, but this didn’t stop the bleeding overnight, I put her on her observation machine so I could keep an eye on her oxygen & heart rate levels for reassurance,’ she said.
‘I have the privilege to wake up this morning and watch her open her eyes and play this is precious/ Tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone, waking up today is the blessing itself.’
Ashley had earlier revealed that Azaylia had been ‘happy and lively’ in the day, but that the lack of platelets could result in her bleeding out.
He explained: ‘Because of her blood cancer it means it eats away at the cells that help to clot the blood, so with the tumours, plus the lack of platelets in her body, that means she could bleed out from the inside and that’s no way for Azaylia to go.’
The Ex On The Beach star went on: ‘If that can preserve us for one day, two days, three days, every day’s a blessing. Let’s go, champ.’
The couple had planned to take Azaylia to Singapore for a year-long course of intensive treatment, with fans raising over £1.5million to go towards her care, but they were given the devastating news that the treatment would no longer be possible.
