Avengers star Josh Brolin and his wife Kathryn have welcomed their second child together.
Kathryn shared that their newborn, who they have named Chapel Grace Brolin, arrived on Christmas Day, five months after they went public with the pregnancy.
The joyous news was announced on Instagram by the model, who uploaded two adorable pictures of her daughter to the social media site. The first photo showed the little one looking snug under a blanket and having a snooze.
‘❤️Baby Chapel❤️Born at 6:20 pm on 12/25/20 Our little Christmas evening angel…Chapel Grace Brolin,’ Kathryn captioned the snap.
Meanwhile, another shot showed Chapel swaddled in a blanket as she lay asleep at the end of a hospital bed.
Kathryn, 32, married Josh, 52 – who is known for playing Marvel supervillain Thanos – in September 2016 after three years together.
The couple are already parents to daughter Westlyn Reign, two.
Josh has previously been married twice before. He wed ex-wife and actress Alice Adair in 1988, who he shares two children with, son Trevor, 32, and daughter Eden, 26.
Josh and Alice split in 1994. He was then engaged to actress Minnie Driver for six months, but things didn’t work out and he went on to marry Diane Lane in 2004. They divorced in 2013.
Speaking about welcoming a child at 50 – ahead of the arrival of his daughter Westlyn in 2018 – the actor said he was a ‘little nervous’.
‘We were trying [for a baby],’ he told USA Today. ‘I just didn’t think it would happen so fast.
‘I’m seeing older fathers that I know throw their kids, but I have a shoulder issue after [filming] Deadpool. It’s like, “am I going to be able to throw my kid or not?” I hate those questions.
‘But it is what it is and I’m so excited. I’m normal nervous because you want to be the best father you can be.’
