Billie Piper has unveiled a chic new bob on Instagram, which her fans can’t get enough of.
The 39-year-old actress has kept her trademark blonde hair, but chopped it off at the chin in an effortlessly cool style that she pulls off with aplomb.
Initially revealing the new look on Saturday, Billie posted a shot of herself dressed in a yellow and green striped chunky-knit jumper, while lounging on a sofa.
The Doctor Who star captioned the post with writing and thought cloud emoji, suggesting she may be cooking something else up creatively after the success of her recent projects Rare Beasts and I Hate Suzie.
However, all talk in the comments was about her hair switch-up, as her followers lavished the look with praise.
‘The hair! 🔥🔥🔥,’ wrote one, while another commented: ‘Love the huuur @billiepiper 🤍 [sic].’
‘So fit,’ wrote singer Paloma Faith, while one fan noted: ‘Classic retro blonde look. Love it! ❤️’, as Billie amped up the 60s vibe with her new cropped look.
On Monday the former popstar blessed Instagram with more shots of her new locks, and shared a snippet of more hair action in her Stories.
She joins a slew of recent celebrities changing up their trademark hairstyles as presenter Stacey Dooley declared her old hair was ‘now dead to me’ in October, when she tried out some corkscrew curls.
Vicar of Dibley star Dawn French has also gone gorgeously grey as she moves away from her iconic chocolate brown bob.
Doctor Who fans have been flustered this week over the possibility of a Rose Tyler return to the series after Doctor Who: Flux kicked off at Halloween and featured a number of references to Billie’s beloved character.
The performer herself has not ruled out the possibility of a revisit, going back on her previous stance of never returning by saying she would relent ‘if the circumstances and the story were right’.
