Billy Ray Cyrus has done little to settle the rumours he’s engaged to girlfriend Firerose after snapping her with a diamond ring.
The Achy Breaky Heart singer was first said to have popped the question in September just weeks after Firerose confirmed their romance.
In April, Billy’s wife Tish, 55, filed for divorce from the musician, 61, after nearly 30 years of marriage.
His romance with Firerose, a singer-songwriter who is believed to be in her mid-20s, was revealed in August.
It seems the smitten couple may indeed be engaged after all as on Tuesday, Billy shared a series of photos of him and Firerose looking loved-up and the songstress sporting a noticeably large diamond ring on her left hand.
‘Happy Autumn,’ he casually captioned the Instagram post making no mention of their happy news.
Last month, the engagement rumours were sparked when Firerose was pictured wearing a huge diamond ring on her wedding finger, sparking speculation that their romance had stepped up a notch.
However, neither have addressed rumours of their engagement publicly.
An insider later claimed that Billy is ‘happier than he has been in a long time’ with his new partner – but the news has caused friction within his famous family.
A source told the Sun: ‘There had been problems in his marriage for a while. He and Tish have been on and off for the best part of a decade, but things had been over for some time before the announcement in April.
‘Not everyone sees his decision to move on so quickly in the same light though.
‘There has been some tension with Miley, which is sad to see, but everyone is hopeful that they will be able to get over it soon enough. Thankfully his other kids do not have an issue with him and he has just collaborated with his youngest, Noah, on a song.’
Billy’s second wife Tish filed for divorce seven months ago citing ‘irreconcilable differences’ and said they hadn’t lived together for two years.
The former couple tied the knot in 1993 and share two children, daughter Miley Cyrus and sons Braison and Noah. Billy also adopted Tish’s children from her previous relationship, Brandi and Chase.
