Bridgerton heart-throb Rege-Jean Page made cameo in Harry Potter movie and nobody knew

Everyone might be obsessed with Rege-Jean Page following his starring turn as the Duke of Hastings in Bridgerton, but the hunk has actually also been in one of the Harry Potter films too.

Fans have discovered that Rege-Jean, 30, who plays Simon Basset in Bridgerton, made a very brief cameo in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1.

It’s only the most eagle-eyed that would have spotted him, however, as he appeared as a wedding guest in a scene with Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger, but was only on screen for three seconds.

Rege-Jean isn’t the only Bridgerton star to have also appeared in the Harry Potter films, as Freddie Stroma who plays Queen Charlotte’s nephew Prince Frederick of Prussia, also played Cormac McLaggen in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Fans of Bridgerton also spotted another familiar face playing Violet the Dowager Viscountess Bridgerton.

Ruth Gemmell, who took on the role, also starred as Tracy Beaker’s mum, Carly, in Tracy Beaker: The Movie Of Me.

Bridgerton has been a huge hit on Netflix since its release, with the streamer revealing that over 63million people had viewed it as of January 4.

Rege-Jean has been one of the breakout stars with fans swooning over his character, and he’s even been tipped as a potential future James Bond.

He addressed the rumours during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, saying: ‘I think the internet thinks a lot of things, and that’s one of the more pleasant ones.

‘I think there might be an element of cultural translation to be done here. Like if you’re a Brit, and you do something of any kind of renown that people regard well, then people start saying the ‘B’ word.

‘I’m very, very glad to have the badge. I’m glad to be in such wonderful company of people who have the badge. But it’s a badge.’

Bridgerton is available to stream on Netflix.
