Britney Spears‘ new memoir has received its first glimpse, and its publishing date has been set.
The Baby One More Time singer has hinted at ambitions to write her life autobiography after being released from conservatorship in 2021, following a 13-year experience.
The announcement spurred a bidding battle, with Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books finally winning out.
Following concerns that the project had been pushed back, the 41-year-old is slated to release The Woman In Me on October 24.

Jennifer Bergstrom, Gallery Books SVP and Publisher, told People Magazine: ‘Britney’s compelling testimony in open court shook the world, changed laws, and showed her inspiring strength and bravery.
‘I have no doubt her memoir will have a similar impact — and will be the publishing event of the year.
‘We couldn’t be more proud to help her share her story at last.’
The Woman in Me has been called a “brave and breathtakingly emotional narrative about freedom, celebrity, parenthood, survival, faith, and hope.”
It will also ‘illuminate the enduring power of music and love – and the importance of a woman telling her own story, on her own terms.’
Britney announced her engagement in April, amid claims that she had signed a multimillion-dollar contract.
In an Instagram post, she described the writing process as “healing and therapeutic,” but added that it was “challenging” for her to dwell on earlier events in her life.
According to rumours, the mother of two has teamed up with ghostwriter Sam Lansky, who has previously worked with Madonna and Adele.
An insider previously raved about the pages to Page Six, explaining: ‘Britney’s book is a story of triumph. It will cover her most vulnerable moments and her childhood.
‘[It will cover] her break-up with Justin Timberlake, the moment she shaved her head, and her battle with her family over her conservatorship.’
‘This book will shake the world,’ another source added. ‘I believe that it will also be a ground-breaking instant bestseller.’
