Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have reportedly been busy finalising the details of their wedding this year, with an exact date said to be set, a Valentino gown selected – and coverage provided by Vogue, no less.
The couple, who have already posed together for Vogue Germany and moved in to a new $10.5million (£7.6m) Beverly Hills home in July, are set to tie the knot on April 9 in a ceremony on Nicola’s billionaire father Nelson Peltz’s sprawling beachside estate in Florida, according to The Sun.
The publication also reports 27-year-old Nicola has opted for ‘two fairytale Valentino numbers’ for her wedding gowns after flying to Rome with her stylist, although a dress by her soon-to-be mother-in-law Victoria Beckham is ‘likely to pop up in the evening do’.
Former Spice Girl Victoria, 47, who designed Nicola’s engagement dress, as well as pal Eva Longoria’s wedding dress in 2016, and is said to be ‘fully supportive’ of Nicola’s decision to go with Valentino.
A source revealed to The Sun: ‘Understandably Nicola and Brooklyn want the entire day to be perfect and their attention to detail is quite astonishing.
‘Money is obviously no object, but nonetheless they want the day to be a celebration of love, not wealth.’
On the subject of fashion tome Vogue covering the nuptials, they added: ‘Vogue’s entertainment director Sergio Kletnoy has heavily wooed the pair and it looks like they will get the exclusive rights to the wedding.’
Comparing the planned coverage to that of Idris Elba and wife Sabrina’s wedding in the magazine, the source said it would be ‘very tasteful’.
Superdry model and aspiring photographer Brooklyn, 22, who proposed to his fiancée in July 2020 after a whirlwind eight-month courtship, is said to have lined up brothers Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 16, as his Best Men, while football legend dad David Beckham is expected to take on the role of Master of Ceremonies.
Meanwhile Transformers actress Nicola is thought to have appointed her ice hockey player brother Brad as ‘Chief Bridesmaid’ as she’s ‘determined not to be a stickler for tradition’.
Highlights from the guest list have also been put forward and reportedly include model Gigi Hadid, Nicole Richie and Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana, who are long-standing friends of the Beckhams.
Chart-topping music icon Sir Elton John, who is Brooklyn’s godfather, is unlikely to attend as he will be busy on the US leg of his worldwide Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Brooklyn posted a gushing tribute to Nicola for her birthday in January, where he said he fell ‘more in love’ with the TV star ‘every single day’.
He also unveiled a new tattoo in memory of her late grandmother Gina – his second ink for her – as a birthday present for Nicola.
His new – and 39th – tattoo was shared by Nicola on her Instagram account, as she posted a shot of the inking on the left of his torso, which reads ‘Focused in the present, sincere towards others and trusting in our self, know that you cannot fail’.
Nicola, who was clearly touched by the gesture, wrote in her caption: ‘He got gina’s prayer tattooed 🥺 she passed two years ago today ❤️ 💔 🙏 @brooklynbeckham you’re my soulmate.’
