Bruce Springsteen has shared a poem denouncing Donald trump’s presidency as he urged voters to get behind Joe Biden instead.

The musician, 71, shared a poem from Elaine Griffin Baker, slamming Donald Trump’s time in the White House ahead of the US presidential election on November 3.

Bruce read the poem on his From My Home To Yours radio show on SiriusXM, which compared Trump’s presidency to Barack Obama and George Bush, as well as other first families.

Speaking about the ‘cloud of constant misery’ the USA has been under, Bruce – who has publicly spoken out against Trump many times – read: ‘There are no images of the First Family enjoying themselves together in a moment of relaxation.

‘No Obamas on the beach in Hawaii moments, or Bushes fishing in Kennebunkport. No Reagans on horseback, no Kennedys playing touch football on the Cape.

‘Where’d that country go?’

Bruce’s songs, including Born In The USA, are famous for portraying working class America, and he has been vocal about his support for Biden over Trump.

The New Jersey-born star has previously threatened to leave the USA if Trump was elected for a second term.

The poem continues: ‘We used to have a president that calmed and soothed the nation instead of dividing it, and a First Lady who planted a garden instead of ripping one out.

‘We are rudderless and joyless. We have lost the cultural aspects of society that make America great.

‘We have lost our mojo, our fun, our happiness, our cheering on of others.’

The poem also laments the lack of art, literature, poetry and music in the White House under Trump, saying his only ‘human’ when he takes off his ‘blue suit-red tie uniform’ to ‘hide from Americans to play golf’.

Bruce is one of several stars who have thrown their support behind Joe Biden, including Cardi B, Harry Styles, Jennifer Lawrence, Brad Pitt and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.
