BTS Army springs into action and calls for investigation as band’s TikTok account is hacked

BTS may have had its official TikTok account hacked, but its Army are already on the case.

Yup, fans of the much loved K-pop boyband – made up of Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, RM and Jungkook – were straight onto BTS’ label Big Hit Entertainment and urging bosses to get to the bottom of it.

According to NME, fans grew suspicious on Tuesday when the band’s TikTok account seemed to share random cartoon clips.

More videos were uploaded and fans worked out that they were the same videos that were seen on two accounts that BTS – who were recently named the global recording artist of 2020 – had begun following.

Flocking to Twitter, the Army wanted the hackers to be found and the official BTS account to be restored in all its glory, so naturally they started making some noise on the social media platform.

‘Hello @BigHitEnt we have noticed that the official account of BTS TikTok has been hacked, please solve this problem and make sure to take legal action. We don’t want anything to harm them,’ tweeted one BTS fan.

Another said: ‘Hello @BigHitEnt @bts_bighit! BTS tiktok account has been hacked, can you please look into it and fix it? RIGHT NOW.’

One more agreed and shared a similar tweet that read: ‘Excuse me, @BigHitEnt. It has been brought to my attention that the BTS official TikTok account was hack*d. Please go forward in solving the problem and taking legal action, thank you.’

‘No it’s not funny that BTS tiktok account got hacked,’ said one annoyed fan.

Others took the issue straight to TikTok, with one tagging in a support page for the platform.

They urged: ‘Hello @TikTokSupport we have noticed that the official account of BTS on TikTok has been hacked, please solve this problem and make sure to take legal action.’

TikTok and Big Hit Entertainment are yet to respond.

While fans are hoping that they soon get to the bottom of the hacking scandal, BTS are busy preparing for their performance at the Grammys this year.

The band has been confirmed to perform along with the likes of Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and Harry Styles.

It comes after they landed a history-making nomination at this year’s Grammys, as BTS have been nominated in the category for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their track Dynamite.

Dynamite features on the band’s latest album BE and their nod makes BTS the first K-pop band to be nominated in a major category at the Grammy Awards.
