Cat Deeley has revisited her SM:TV Live roots to reunite with Ant and Dec for Saturday Night Takeaway, which has had fans reminiscing on the Saturday television we all loved growing up.

The presenter, 44, rejoined Ant and Dec for a special episode of Chums – which was teased ahead of this Saturday’s show – as they revisited their roles in the much-loved sketch from their SM:TV days.

The preview saw Ant and Dec pop up behind Cat as she stood in front of a promo board for her new children’s book The Joy In You.

The trio are set to bring back their Friends-inspired sketch, Chums, with a source telling The Sun that it’ll be ‘the reunion SM:TV fans have been calling for’.

They added that it was: ‘going to be epic. After the success of the SM:TV special, Ant & Dec, Cat and bosses thought this would be the perfect opportunity.’

Cat hosted SM:TV Live alongside Ant and Dec from 1998 until 2002 and hosted the spin off CD:UK from 1998 until 2005.

Cat still does TV work in the USA and here, but is also an author, having penned the children’s book The Joy In You.

She and Patrick also moved back to the UK last year after 14 years of living in America but is planning to fly back and forth for work once the pandemic eases up.
