Chris Hemsworth stunned fans when he revealed the extent he went to for his current role, displaying a gruesome new set of teeth.
The 40-year-old plays the sinister Dr. Dementus alongside Anya Taylor-Joy in Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which hits theatres on May 24.
The Thor legend lost himself in a variety of prosthetics, altering his nose, beard, haircut, and smile to channel the warlord.
He took to Instagram ahead of the release to show off his new outfit, including a set of gigantic fangs he wore for the character.
Flashing a smile at the camera in a video – and looking noticeably different – he informed someone out of shot: ‘No, they’re way too big, I can’t speak.
‘They don’t really fit, just falling off and stuff.’

Well, they’re not wrong…
Furiosa, the fifth Mad Max film, will be released this week. It serves as both a sequel and a prequel to the 2015 film Fury Road, starring Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy.
It chronicles the narrative of Furiosa, a renegade warrior, and stars Tom Burke and Alyla Browne. George Miller directs.
Chris recently discussed his on-screen metamorphosis in a new interview, adding that the adjustments allowed him to ‘get out of the way’ of himself on set.
Speaking to MovieMaker, he said: ‘The nose, the beard, the kind of wig, all the prosthetics and the costume, everything was just, look — any of that helps you get out the way of yourself.
‘The more you can cut loose of yourself and be completely taken on a journey through what the hair and makeup, costume, the sets, have to offer — it makes your job so much easier.
‘Look at these costumes, look at these sets. We just gotta not screw up our lines now and not get in the way of it all.
‘So it was like an another prop, all of it. And when I would look in the mirror, I’d go, “I don’t see myself anymore. This is a great thing.” So then you start to think differently, start reacting differently, and there’s a knock on effect to that.’
Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is in cinemas on May 24.
