Chris Hemsworth is hitting the workouts hard ahead of the upcoming sequel to his Netflix film, Extraction, making us all feel lazy in the process.

The Marvel favourite will be reprising his role of Tyler Rake in the action flick, which has not yet been given a release date.

While we may be waiting a while for the 38-year-old to grace the small screen once more, he is doing the absolute most to be ready for those stunts.

Taking to Instagram, the dad-of-three stripped off to give us a glimpse at his strenuous fitness session, and it has taken our breath away.

Alongside a video montage of him pounding an exercise ball, squatting and doing push ups, he instructed: ‘Gearing up for @netflix Extraction sequel. Transitioning from heavy weight training to a lot more body weight functional movements concentrating on agility, strength and speed.

‘Give this little work out a go and let the lungs scream for mercy! @centrfit.’

It’s going to be a no from us, hun….

Extraction follows Chris as he plays a mercenary who has been tasked with carrying out his most dangerous mission yet, rescuing the kidnapped son of a crime lord.

To do so, he has to enter the criminal underworld, while avoiding drug traffickers, weapons dealers and all-around bad guys.

Spoiler alert: It’s not that simple.

The Thor favourite leads a star-studded cast in the Netflix blockbuster, alongside Rudhraksh Jaiswal, Pankaj Tripathy, Derek Luke and Chris Jai Alex.

And the sequel has a lot to live up to, as the first film smashed records to become Netflix’s most-watched original production of all time.

According to CNet, the movie – which was released in April 2020 – was viewed by 99million accounts within the first month of its release.

So there will probably be more than a few eyes on that sequel.

Extraction is available to stream on Netflix now.
