Chris Hemsworth has proven that his wife Elsa Pataky can definitely give him a run for his money when it comes to working out.
The Thor actor, 37, is often seen working up a sweat with a pretty intense workout, but his wife Elsa, 44, may have just tipped him when it comes to bringing that beast mode in the gym.
She is training for a new ‘badass project’ and has enlisted the help of trainer Ross Edgley, who was seen putting Elsa through her paces in a video Chris shared to Instagram.
Just watching it makes us feel pretty exhausted, as Elsa bosses her way through sets of heavy weights and even pulls off one-handed press ups. Yup, you heard us, one hand.
She’s seen crawling on her hands and knees around a track, hoisting her entire body weight up a rope and pulling on a huge weighted sled.
There’s no denying that Elsa, who created fitness app Centr with Chris, is incredibly fit, with her husband boasting about his super strong wife as he told his followers: ‘@elsapatakyconfidential in full beast mode with the original beast @rossedgley ?.’
Trainer Ross described the entire Hemsworth family as ‘spartans’ and, well, he’s not wrong. He commented on Chris’ post: ‘An entire family of Spartans ?. What a gene pool.’
Chris and Elsa tied the knot in 2010 and share three children together; daughter India, eight, and twins Tristan and Sasha, six.
In August, Elsa opened up about her relationship with Avengers star Chris and insisted that it is ‘in no way perfect’, while revealing the key to their romance.
‘It’s funny that people think of us as a perfect couple,’ Elsa told The Sunday Telegraph’s body+soul magazine.
‘It’s been ups and downs, and we still keep working at the relationship. I think a relationship is constant work. It’s not easy.’
Chris and Elsa married after just three months together, with the movie talent previously highlighting the importance of date night to GQ Australia in 2017.
‘My wife and I fell in love, had kids, didn’t really see each other for a few years, then fell back in love,’ Chris said.
‘Once you have children, every instinct and every moment of your time is consumed by that. You’ve got nothing for each other, so make sure you have date night even if it’s once in a blue moon, because most of the time, you’re just too tired and you’d actually prefer to sleep’.
