Chris and Rosie Ramsey achieve world record with podcast

Chris Ramsey and wife Rosie have plenty of reasons to smile as their hit podcast, S*****d, Married, Annoyed, has broken a world record.

The couple’s comedy podcast has spent an entire year in the top 10 of the UK charts.

Nowhere in the world has a podcast remained in the top 10 for 365 days, showing just how successful it has become since the first episode was released in 2019.

Chris, 35, shared the news on Twitter, seeming in disbelief as he wrote: ‘Well… that’s pretty cool!’

Fans were quick to share their love for the podcast, with one Twitter user calling it ‘the only one that’s a must have for me every week.’

Another joked to the stand-up comic: ‘Imagine the lucrative sponsors you could get now you’re world record holders.’

It’s no surprise the married couple are breaking records since they gained 25million downloads within the first 18 months, and as of May 2021, that number has risen to 43m.

The show was announced as one of the most popular podcasts in the UK in 2020 in Spotify’s annual Wrapped feature.

Chris and Rosie also wrote a book based on their entertaining podcast, which became a Sunday Times No.1 bestseller in the first week of being released.

They started their podcast to discuss ‘life, relationships, arguments, annoyances, parenting, growing up and everything in between’ – but keep things real by recording in their kitchen.

The lovable duo, who recently moved into their dream family home in Northumberland, announced they would be taking the podcast on tour, hitting the road next month.

With over 130 episodes and counting, Chris and Rosie are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon, which listeners will be pleased to hear.

S*****d, Married, Annoyed is released weekly on Fridays, available on Spotify, Soundcloud, Acast and Apple Podcasts.
