John Legend has given an update on how his wife Chrissy Teigen is doing amid her online trolling scandal.
The model publicly apologised for sending mean messages to people online in a lengthy post, revealing she would be reaching out privately to those she had targeted.
Her apology was met with some scepticism on social media, however the Lip Sync Battle star is said to be keeping her head up.
TMZ has published video of the singer being approached by paparazzi while out and about on Tuesday. When one asked him how Chrissy was doing ‘with all the criticism’, John replied: ‘She’s doing great’.
His comment comes after fashion designer Michael Costello alleged Chrissy had accused him of racism in private messages.
She had previously apologised to reality TV star Courtney Stodden for comments she had sent to them online.
In the apology the mum-of-two, who shares children Luna and Miles with the Ordinary People singer, said: ‘I have so much love to give if you are open and willing to accept it. And if not, that’s okay too. That’s something I work on being more okay with every day.
‘I know I let you down, but I hope I can make you proud. It’s been a heavy few weeks, so I’m going to take some more time to focus on things that are most important — being with my family and taking care of myself.
‘We are all more than our worst moments.
‘I won’t ask for your forgiveness, only your patience and tolerance. I ask that you allow me, as I promise to allow you, to own past mistakes and be given the opportunity to seek self improvement and change.’
Teigen had previously quit Twitter in May amid the scandal and stepped down from Netflix comedy series Never Have I Ever.
