Chrissy Teigen has revealed her planned tribute to her baby son in her new family home.
The model and husband John Legend tragically lost their third child Jack, who would have been born in February, 20 weeks into her pregnancy last year.
The 35-year-old revealed she and John are building a new house and want to put a tree indoors in memory of their son, with his ashes in the soil.
Speaking in the new issue of PEOPLE magazine, Chrissy said: ‘We have this new home that we’re building and this tree being planted inside the home, which is very relatable, yes, everyone has an indoor tree.
‘The whole reason that I wanted it was so Jack’s ashes could be in that soil and he could be with us all the time and grow through the beautiful leaves on this tree and always be a part of us.
‘He wasn’t just a moment in time. He was real and he was real to us and we loved him.’
The Lip Sync Battle star revealed their heartbreak in a series of powerful black and white pictures from the hospital, which she posted on her social media.
Addressing the critics who questioned her being so open about her tragic loss, she said: ‘I knew I needed to know of this moment forever, the same way I needed to remember us kissing at the end of the aisle, the same way I needed to remember our tears of joy after Luna and Miles. And I absolutely knew I needed to share this story.’
Chrissy added at the time: ‘I cannot express how little I care that you hate the photos. How little I care that it’s something you wouldn’t have done.
‘I lived it, I chose to do it, and more than anything, these photos aren’t for anyone but the people who have lived this or are curious enough to wonder what something like this is like. These photos are only for the people who need them. The thoughts of others do not matter to me.’
After losing Jack the couple got matching tattoos of his name on their arms.
Chrissy and John have been married since 2013 and also share daughter Luna, four, and son Miles, two.
