Courteney Cox has given fans a rare insight into her eight-year relationship with Johnny McDaid and it’s just the sweetest thing ever.
The Friends star, 57, has been dating the musician, 45, since 2013 after being introduced by mutual pal Ed Sheeran, and says the relationship has taught her a lot about love.
She revealed to People that she has learned not to ‘take a lot personally’ as the way people behave is down to their ‘own history and past’.
Courteney added that spending some of the coronavirus pandemic apart while Johnny was stuck in lockdown abroad made her realise how much he means to her.
She explained: ‘I’ve learned that love is precious. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised that,’ adding that Johnny is ‘a great listener. And I’ve never met someone more patient.’
Adding what she loves about Johnny, Courteney revealed: ‘He’s a great advice-giver. I love his heart, his intentions. His morals.
‘He’s extremely talented and obviously musical, but he’s a poet and a writer. He’s just so smart, and I find that really sexy. And then he is gorgeous.’
However, marriage is still hanging in the balance as Courteney admitted: ‘I don’t know. I’m definitely not opposed to it. I just don’t think about it.’
The Scream actress says that her favourite thing to do is spend time with Johnny, her 17-year-old daughter Coco who she shares with ex-husband David Arquette, and their two dogs Bear and Lily.
Courteney enjoys just ‘puttering’ around the house getting her tasks done before settling down to cook with her boyfriend or hang out with friends in the evening.
Sounds like heaven to us.
