Dani Dyer scared to wean her son Santiago as it’s just ‘me and him’ after Sammy Kimmence is jailed

Dani Dyer is scared to wean her son because it is just ‘me and him’, after her partner Sammy Kimmence went to jail.

The 24-year-old is mum to six-month-old Santiago, and admitted that she is struggling with her confidence in giving the baby solid foods with nobody else around.

On her Instagram stories, the former Love Island winner said: ‘So the weaning, it’s going really well actually, however, I’m just a bit scared. I genuinely am scared, cause it’s me and him.

‘If I had people around me I would be more confident but because it’s me and him, his life is in my hands – do you know?

‘If he chokes, what if I don’t know what I’m doing? I’ve done first aid – but what if I forget?’

Dani is going to stick to pureed food for Santiago until she gets more confident with the tot, saying: ‘I’ve just really been giving him jars, I’ve done the meals myself and froze them and stuff, but I think at the minute I’m just going to stick to puree and when my confidence gets better.

‘You give mummy really bad anxiety, San. It’s bad.’

Dani celebrated Santiago turning six months old over the weekend, writing on Instagram: ‘6 whole months of loving you baby boy…can’t believe how quick the time is going, you’ve made me realise how precious time is, and what it’s like to not have a lay in anymore?Mummy loves you more than words could ever describe.’

This milestone came days after Santiago’s father Sammy was sentenced to three and a half years in jail after cheating two pensioners out of more than £33,000.

The 25-year-old wept in court as he was sentenced to 42 months in prison, having pleaded guilty to five counts of fraud.

The court heard that the offences involved Kimmence taking money from two elderly men aged 90 and 80 between 2016 and 2018, claiming that he would invest the money through his company S&S Trading Ltd but failing to do so.

He spent the men’s money on paying off his overdraft, a hotel stay in Ibiza, restaurant bills and buying clothes.

It is believed that Dani has split from her partner, and that her family – including her dad, EastEnders star Danny – are ‘relieved’.

A source told Metro.co.uk: ‘She is absolutely floored by what’s happened with Sammy. She knows she has to make massive changes in her life and she is so distraught she needs time to think things through.

‘Sammy completely downplayed the court case every step of the way and led her to believe he hadn’t done anything too serious and he would get a suspended sentence.

‘Now she knows the full horror of the crime. She is broken. She feels desperately sorry for the two men he scammed and whose lives he ruined.’
