While in Seoul, David Beckham took advantage of the opportunity to indulge in some delectable-looking Korean barbecue.
The 48-year-old retired football great offered a comprehensive glimpse at the extensive dinner spread he was having, which included pig belly.
While sitting down for a delicious buffet at the Golden Pig restaurant, David joked that he still needed a bib to eat his meal.
He captioned a happy photo of himself wearing a disposable bib and using chopsticks while sat at the table in front of plates, ‘Still wearing a bib at 48.’
Along with the pork sizzling on the barbecue, the father-of-four uploaded photos and videos of leeks and corn on the cob frying.
Garnishes included snaps of fresh basil, kimchi, and a palm-sized nettle leaf.
David also uploaded photos of meeting large groups of admirers in the South Korean city, who were anxious to get a photograph or signature from the athletic star.
‘So much fun yesterday,’ David wrote on photo with fans, adding on a video of him posing for and signing pictures: ‘Great to see so many of you in Seoul.’
The Manchester United player was also in Asia to commemorate the 30-year anniversary of Adidas’ Predator boots.
While browsing the brand’s main shop for new designs, he stumbled upon what he described as his ‘first-ever’ Manchester United jersey.
‘Won the youth cup in this shirt. Great memories!’ he told camera while giving a tour around the shop.
Earlier this month, David shared his gastronomic exploits in Spain, where he not only ate exquisite food at Botafumeiro but also had it given to him by the restaurant management.
Juan Jesús Pérez Alonso shared a video on Instagram of himself interacting with the celebrity.
He scooped up a forkful of young eel and held it up to multimillionaire David’s mouth, where he enthusiastically ate it with a smile.
Ever the professional, he even held a serviette under Becks’ chin to prevent spills.
The restaurateur then neatly washed David’s face to remove any mess, eliciting laughter from others around the table.
David later showed off one of his fave meals from the private eatery.
Posing with his percebes, a rare seafood from Portugal, he wrote: ‘One of my favourite things to eat when in season in (Spanish flag emoji)’.
‘Soooooooooo good’, he added with, ‘Gracias’.
The ‘rare’ seafood is considered the world’s most costly due to the hazardous gathering technique for fisherman.
The delicacy may cost up to £400 per lb, or £80 for a chunk of 15 to 20.
