David Beckham has voiced his displeasure on Instagram over his daughter Harper mentioning she has a crush, and it’s extremely relatable.
The footballing legend, dad to sons Brooklyn, 22, Romeo, 19, Cruz, 16, and 10-year-old daughter Harper, took to the social media site to vent a little – although he did reveal that she had softened the blow somewhat by calling him her ‘only valentine’.
Posting a moody black and white shot of himself wearing thick-rimmed glasses and giving rather obvious side eye, with an unimpressed facial expression, the 46-year-old wrote: ‘Roses are red🌹 Harper seven mentions she has a crush & this is daddy’s face 🤬🤬🤬’
You can tell it’s serious as he was full-naming Harper, but then he relented a little, adding: ‘But it’s ok she said daddy you are my only valentine ❤️.’
The former England player’s friends and followers were appreciative of his mood, with one simply commenting: ‘Fuming’, with a laugh-cry emoji.
Another posted: ‘Oh man ……’, presumably in recognition that it will unfortunately only get worse for David as his youngest grows up.
Many commented on how alike the two look, with a fan referring to the duo as ‘Posh and Posh Junior.’
David also enjoyed some quality time with Harper recently, ignoring the haters who claim it’s ‘weird’ he kisses his child on the lips as he shared some adorable snaps of himself with his daughter.
Going for a walk in the park with her on a chilly day, David wore a peaked cap and a coat against the January chill, while Harper bundled up in earmuffs reminiscent of a certain Star Wars princess.
The athlete shared two pictures of the walk, one of the father and daughter smiling at the camera, and another of them sharing a sweet peck on the lips, captioning his upload: ‘David wrote: ‘Daddy & Princess Leia had a lovely walk this morning 🥶’.
The Beckhams’ loving household also extends as far as having a good sense of humour, with Victoria revealing that David had left her a cheeky lunchbox note after she was ‘grumpy’ with him.
The fashion designer posted a picture on her Insta story after her husband – whom she married in 1999 – made her lunch with a hilarious message attached to the Tupperware box.
‘Even when I’m grumpy he looks after me!
‘Thank you for my lunch @davidbeckham,’ she wrote, showing the note that read: ‘Enjoy lunch ****hole… Come home happier 🙂 lots of love you know who.. [sic]’
