When you see Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz together you immediately think of kicking a** in Charlie’s Angels and all the ’90s rom-coms.

While Drew gave us classics like Never Been Kissed and The Wedding Singer, Cameron stole our hearts in There’s Something About Mary and My Best Friend’s Wedding.

Then the two came together in 2000 hit Charlie’s Angels alongside Lucy Liu and instantly gave us the friendship we were all dying to be a part of it.

So, it’s no surprise then that a reunion between the two leading ladies on The Drew Barrymore Show had us feeling all the feels.

Giving the people what they want, Drew, 45, shared a sweet snap of her nestling into the shoulder of her BFF Cameron, 49.

She captioned her post: ‘Bestie hour with my bestie poo poo!! @camerondiaz @thedrewbarrymoreshow.’

Cue fans and celebrities alike going wild for the duo – Gwyneth Paltrow posted a slew of hearts underneath Drew’s upload, while Miranda Kerr added a series of heart-eyed emoji.

One fan branded Drew and Cameron – who have been friends for over 30 years – ‘icons’, while another described the Hollywood actresses as ‘two of my favourites’.

‘Just get @lucyliu in the pic and I’ll cry,’ said another, as one more commented: ‘My favourite duo ever ever.’

Something tells us ‘bestie poo poo’ may just catch on.

Drew was joined by Cameron on her chat show, which aired over in the US on Wednesday night, and was seen thanking her pal for helping her to secure the segment Drew’s News on the show.

She joked that Cameron’s appearance on the first ever Drew’s News helped to secure its place going forward, as she shared pilot footage of the pair discussing going hiking together.

In the clip, the girls gave fans an insight into their friendship as Drew told Cameron: ‘The one thing I don’t like doing with you is hiking, because you have these giant German Shepherds and you have these long legs, you are a Great Dane.

‘And I have these short dogs and the legs of a Corgi dog and I literally can’t keep up with you.’

‘It’s kind of a comedy act,’ Cameron joked. ‘I look back and she’s all like [panting] and she’s seething, she’s just so angry at me.’

She added: ‘I have to stop every five minutes and I look back and I’m like, “Come on, let’s go, what’s the matter?”‘

Drew teased: ‘It’s like a gazelle and an armadillo, that’s what it’s like.’

Cameron’s TV appearance comes after she explained her decision to quit her acting career, despite being one of the most bankable stars in Hollywood.

Speaking last month, the star, who is married to Benji Madden and shares daughter Raddix with the Good Charlotte rocker, said her acting career was preventing her from managing other parts of her life.

‘When you do something at a really high level for a long period of time, when you’re the person that is delivering one thing, you’re the person on the screen, all parts of you that isn’t that has to sort of be handed off to other people,’ she revealed on Kevin Hart’s talkshow Hart to Heart.

Cameron said this included ‘different parts of my life, my home, every aspect, from finance, just the management of me as a human being, not me as Cameron Diaz the machine.

‘For my personal, spiritual self, I was realising that that one part of me that functioned at a high level wasn’t enough,’ she admitted.

‘It’s fun to do, I love it, I love acting, I could go forever, I sometimes feel like I have unlimited energy and inertia.

‘I just looked around and there were so many parts of my life that I wasn’t touching and that I wasn’t managing, and I couldn’t really manage, because everything was so massive.’

Revealing she doesn’t regret her decision to turn her back on the big screen, Cameron insisted: ‘It’s the best feeling, I feel whole.’
