Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has had his second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The Hollywood superstar revealed the exciting news on Instagram as he heaped praise on health care workers ‘around the world’ for their dedication during the coronavirus pandemic.
Sharing a photo of himself getting the jab, he wrote: ‘Round 2. Full tilt.
‘Mahalo to my long time ace @_amarcules and all our front line health care warriors here in the US and around the world
‘The more intel I come to understand the more work I realize we have in front of us. Step by step. Keep on keepin’ on. #vaccination (sic)’
The injection was an early birthday present for The Rock, who got the vaccine on Saturday and then turned 49 the very next day.
As if his weekend couldn’t get any better, Sunday was also ‘cheat day’ for Dwayne, and he had a selection of suitably tasty treats lined up to mark the occasion.
‘Mahalo everyone SO MUCH for the morning birthday love,’ he said. ‘I’m a 978 year old T-Rex so you hope with age we all get a little more wiser, mindful, balanced, inspired, motivated and can tell a helluva dirty joke.
‘Today is my birthday AND my cheat day so it’s a double whammy hell yes jackpot… Tequila, pancakes & cookies await!!! Thanks again for the birthday love and enjoy your Sunday’.
Meanwhile, this all comes after Dwayne has recently made it clear he would consider running for president if it’s ‘want the people want’.
He said: ‘I do have the goal to unite our country. I also feel that, if this is what the people want, then I will do that.’
The actor further emphasised the fact that he is ‘passionate about making sure our country is united’.
‘A united country, as we know, is its strongest. I want to see that for our country,’ the Baywatch star explained.
However, the Jumanji actor recently shared a playful response to a poll that said 46% of Americans want him to be president.
‘Not sure our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve the people,’ he wrote on Twitter.
