‘2020 has been a bad year for all of us but a particularly hard one for you Ellen sheesh! Get better and I will say a prayer for you,’one fan commented.

It has been a tough year for the star after The Ellen DeGeneres Show after several former employees claimed senior producers mistreated other workers.

Ellen came under fire when numerous anonymous employees on The Ellen Show came forward in a damning report on Buzzfeed claiming to be working in an environment of racism, fear and intimidation. Some accused executive producers of rampant sexual assault and harassment.

She later responded in a statement, saying she ‘takes full responsibility’ and added: ‘I take that very seriously and I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected.

‘I know that I’m in a position of privilege and power and I realised that with that comes responsibility, and I take responsibility for what happens at my show.’

However, some viewers were left unimpressed when she joked about the allegations upon her return to her show.
