Elliot Page is ready for a hot boy summer as he showed off his ‘first pair’ of swimming trunks in a new photo and declared ‘trans is beautiful’.

As the UK continues to be hammered by driving rain, The Umbrella Academy, who called himself a ‘trans bb’ in the sweet social media post, posed up for the camera just before taking a dip in the pool making us long for summer.

The actor stood topless and barefoot outside in his garden sporting a dark red pair of shorts with a gold chain, black cap, sunglasses and a big smile as accessories.

He captioned the feelgood snap: ‘Trans bb’s first swim trunks #transjoy #transisbeautiful.’

The photo received lots of love from the likes of singer Miley Cyrus, who posted ‘Hot’ with a red heart emoji. Game Of Thrones star Lena Headey also commented with three hearts.

The star, whose pronouns are he/they, recently sat down for his first interview since coming out as transgender in December last year, and opened up about his journey so far.

Elliot shared that he feels ‘lucky’ to have ‘arrived at this place in my life’ and publicly showed support for the transgender community.

‘For a long time I could not even look at a photo of myself,’ he candidly admitted to Time, as he revealed he used to suffer from anxiety, panic attacks and depression.

‘How to explain to people that even though [I was] an actor, just putting on a T-shirt cut for a woman would make me so unwell,’ Elliot added.

The X-Men star came out as gay in 2014 and found love with ex-wife Emma Portner. They got divorced in January this year.

In a statement revealing he is trans, Elliot said he ‘loves that I am queer and the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive.’
