Freida Pinto has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child to fiancé Cory Tran.

The actress, 36, took to Instagram to share the exciting news, as she posted two sweet snaps of her and her photographer partner happily posing together.

The first shot shows Cory cradling Freida’s growing baby bump, while the second sees her hold onto it, as she gazes into her fiance’s eyes.

‘Baby Tran, coming this Fall!’ Freida captioned the post.

Cory later reshared the same photos and captions onto his own Instagram page.

The pair previously announced their engagement in November 2019, as they uploaded professional shots of Freida showing off her luxurious ring.

She wrote: ‘It all makes sense now. Life makes sense, the world makes sense, the past tears and trials make sense, what wise old lovers said about love makes sense….

‘Where I am makes sense and where I want to go to completely makes sense. You my love are just the most beautiful creation to have ever walked into my life.

‘And you are here to stay. Well, I am making you stay. Ha! All my love with all my heart.’

She then added: ‘Oh and Happiest Birthday sweet Fiance!’

Cory kept his own post sort and sweet, writing: ‘The best birthday present I could’ve asked for. Fiance.’

The couple were first spotted together in October 2017, and later made their relationship public in September 2018, when they attended the US Open together.

Freida had previously dated her Slumdog Millionaire co-star Dev Patel between 2009 and 2014.

The star had previously opened up about her breakup to Dev in a 2015 interview with USA Today, revealing they were still ‘best friends’.

She explained: ‘There is no way one person can sit down and go, “But why did this happen to me?” Or, “It was all going well, what the hell happened?” Or, “No, this just can’t be”, the denial of it.

‘Running away from it is not going to help you find your answers. So we’re facing it. And we’re dealing.

‘And Dev and I are best friends. That’s never going to change.’
