Gal Gadot pleasantly surprised fans by welcoming a baby girl despite her pregnancy going unnoticed.
Announcing the arrival of her fourth child with husband Jaron Varsano on social media, the Wonder Woman star, 38, shared a heartwarming photo of herself holding the baby girl at the hospital.
Gal, who tied the knot with Israeli businessman Jaron in 2008, proudly introduced their newest addition, named Ori.
‘My sweet girl, welcome,’ she joyfully expressed. ‘The pregnancy journey was challenging, but we made it through.
‘You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means “my light” in Hebrew. Our hearts are full of gratitude.
‘Welcome to the house of girls.. 👯♀️👯♀️ daddy is pretty cool too 😉❤️’
Fans flooded the post with messages of congratulations and bewilderment, with some expressing surprise at the revelation. User nebula_damaged wrote: ‘Wait she was pregnant?’
‘You were pregnant?’ marie_beauty_corner chimed in, while Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul commented: ‘Congratulations!! So beautiful.’
Together, the couple had previously welcomed daughters Alma in 2011, Maya in 2017, and Daniella in 2021.
In past discussions, Gal has expressed her belief that motherhood is a profoundly rewarding experience.
“When you deliver, you feel like you’re a god. Like, “Oh my God, I made this!”‘ Gadot revealed in an interview with news.com.au in May 2017. ‘The best thing is to become a mother and to give life.’
‘I love giving birth. I would do it once a week if I could. It’s so magical,’ she also shared with InStyle in 2022.
‘And I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it’s not so painful. Just the moment you feel like you’re creating life, it’s incredible.’
She reflected, ‘That is the badass thing I do: the juggling between my family life and my acting career.’
Discussing the challenges of managing three kids in an interview with Flaunt magazine in August 2023, Gal conveyed the messy yet fulfilling nature of parenthood.
‘Having three children is messy and chaotic in the best way possible,’ she remarked, adding, ‘If you’re at work, you want to be home. Then, when you’re at home with the kids, you worry you’re not working enough. It can be a vicious cycle – but you have to mute those feelings.’
She emphasized, ‘I told myself that I can only do my best and that I’m being the best mother I can be.’
