Gemma Collins ‘dating ex James Argent after reuniting in lockdown’ following bitter break up

Gemma Collins is said to be dating her on/off ex James Argent again, after reconnecting in lockdown.

The former Towie co-stars were in a relationship for three years, after first getting together on the ITVBe reality series, but bitterly split in July, with Gemma publicly shaming Arg for sending her cruel texts about her weight – branding her a ‘hippo’ and a ‘fat f**k’.

At the time, Gemma told fans she was taking a break from social media and was ‘absolutely heartbroken’ after being left ‘hurt and devastated’ by Arg.

Sources, however, claim that the pair are now back together again, after reconnecting during lockdown and becoming ‘inseparable’.

It’s claimed the duo have found support within each other, with Gemma helping Arg through his addiction battle and Arg being there for Gemma as she struggled through some ‘tough times’ over the last few months.

‘James has supported Gemma through some tough times in these last few months and she’s doing the same with him with his battle with sobriety and his weight,’ an insider told The Sun.

Suggesting that the couple have put aside their past issues, they continued: ‘[Gemma and Arg] are not shouting about it like they’ve done previously, but they are inseparable right now and properly an item again.

‘They’re talking about their future together – marriage, kids, the lot.’

Gemma and Arg had sparked rumours of a reunion in recent months, after they were spotted enjoying a flirty dinner in October and Arg splashed out on balloons for Gemma’s 40th birthday at the end of January.

The Essex star showered Gemma with an outpouring of love in the form of a huge personalised balloon display, that included GC initials and a pair of lips.

Gemma was seen publicly thanking Arg on social media, as she told fans she was ‘overwhelmed’ by all the gifts and messages she had received.

The gesture proves the pair are now on much better terms, following their acrimonious split over the summer.

Gemma had shared screenshots of cruel messages Arg had sent her prior to their split, with it being claimed at the time that he had asked her for an open relationship.

In the messages, Gemma called Arg out for buying another woman dinner and not her. He responded: ‘You are supposed to be treating me you hippo,’ prompting Gemma to tell him their relationship was ‘over’.

Arg then called Gemma a ‘fat f**k’ when she refused to go away with him and sent her pig emoji.

While sharing her heartache over their break up, Gemma encouraged fans going through a similar situation to find the strength to ‘walk away’ like she had done.

The reality star penned at the time: ‘To all who have suffered in lock down or are suffering in general ? please please find your strength to walk away ? there is a better life for you filled with love and respect ? and always remember the problem isn’t within you it’s within them ? walk away it’s never too late ? something will happen one day and you will just say enough is enough ? it’s in that moment the nightmare is over ? this is when you find your strength and this is when you will learn self love.’

She and Arg have been romantically linked ever since they first hooked up on Towie. They have been in an on/off relationship since 2017, with Gemma previously revealing her hopes to start a family with Arg.
