Gemma Collins ‘will be an amazing mum’ says Dancing On Ice pal Matt Evers

Gemma Collins’ Dancing on Ice partner Matt Evers has said she will be an amazing mum and he’s up for babysitting.

The duo became fast friends when the former Towie star became a contestant on the ITV dance show and was paired up with Matt.

The American skater, who is taking part in the new series of ITV2’s Celebrity Karaoke Club, said: ‘Gemma will be an amazing mum. There’s no doubt about it.

‘She is so happy right now with Rami, with her lifestyle. She is in a really good place.’

‘I’m totally there for the babysitting. I’d be honoured,’ he added to The Sun.

When asked about her dramatic weight loss, which has seen her lose three stone after her time on Dancing on Ice, Matt said:  ‘When Gemma was doing her live shows it was so touching as she said she owes her new healthy outlook to her time on Dancing on Ice.

‘We kicked-started that fitness journey. It was really heart-warming.

‘We see her sensitive side now. It’s brilliant.’

Gemma, who celebrated the Platinum Jubilee by hosting a party at her Essex mansion this weekend, has spoken openly about her plans to have a child with boyfriend Rami Hawash.

The 40-year-old TV star has got a taste of parenting now she’s is step-mum to his three-year-old son Tristan.

Gemma, who has been pictured out and about pushing her step-son’s pram, candidly revealed on her podcast last December that she was ready to have a child and had enlisted the help Towie co-star Amy Childs to prepare.

‘I found the love of my life and I’m definitely ready to have a baby now,’ she said. ‘Amy Childs bless her – she knows everything about having kids.

‘We had a good catch up over a glass of champagne, she was like “Gemma, you need to know your dates”.

‘She brought out this dates calendar, her mum Julie took me to a fertility doctor years ago and I will never forget that. They know it all when it comes to having kids.’

Gemma added: ‘Amy was like “I’m going to get you a private midwife”. I’m going to have to make her godmother to the child of the GC.

‘She’s very invested in me having a baby, she really wants me to have one. Apparently there are only four days in a month you can get pregnant, I didn’t know that.

‘She was also speaking to Rami about the days he needs to be available, it was hilarious. If only the cameras would have been there.’

Gemma first dated Rami in 2011 and the pair had an on/off romance for three years.

They got engaged in 2013 but split in 2014.

They briefly rekindled their romance in 2017. Gemma was back with ex-boyfriend James Argent soon after but ended their rocky relationship permanently last year.

In April of this year, it was revealed that Gemma and Rami had been secretly dating for six months and are said to be stronger than ever.
