Gigi Hadid sets fans straight as she reveals sweet nickname for baby Khai

Gigi Hadid set fans straight on her daughter Khai’s name, while unveiling the little one’s nickname.

The supermodel welcomed her baby girl with Zayn Malik in September, and subtly unveiled her name last month.

The 25-year-old sent the rumourmill spinning this week when she penned a sweet comment on Instagram, under a post by pal Olivia Perez.

‘I love you sm it hurts. Khaiba is lucky to have an auntie like u [sic],’ she wrote.

Fans instantly went into meltdown over the moniker, flocking to Twitter to question whether that was her baby’s full name.

Sliding into the reply under a fan account, Gigi insisted: ‘Lol no it’s just a nickname.’

The star made headlines as she appeared on the cover of Vogue just months after introducing Khai – where she lifted the lid on her intense labour.

Chatting to the publication, she spilled the beans on the 14-hour home birth, which took place at her family ranch in Pennsylvania – with her loved ones by her side.

Mum Yolanda and sister Bella Hadid were on hand, as well as boyfriend Zayn and a midwife.

‘I had to dig deep. I knew it was going to be the craziest pain in my life, but you have to surrender to it and be like, “This is what it is”. I loved that,’ she said, explaining that she went without painkillers.

‘There definitely was a point where I was like, I wonder what it would be like with an epidural, how it would be different.

‘My midwife looked at me and was like, “You’re doing it. No one can help you. You’re past the point of the epidural anyway, so you’d be pushing exactly the same way in a hospital bed.”‘

‘It didn’t even click that she was out. I was so exhausted, and I looked up and he’s holding her. It was so cute.’
