There’s a burger, then there’s an M&S burger, and finally, uh, did we read that correctly, an £85 Gordon Ramsay burger.
So, the burgers are great, and the 56-year-old is well-known for his culinary prowess.
But, Gordon, £85 for a burger? Really?
The 1849 burger is cooked with wagyu beef, Japanese kobe A5, truffle pecorino cheese, mushroom ragu, freshly shaved black truffle, porcini aioli, 12 year balsamic vinegar, and watercress, according to the menu.
Oh, and truffle parmesan fries are thrown in for good measure.
One diner resorted to social media to complain about the costs, tagging the TV chef and labelling the dining experience a “big let down.”
Went to @GordonRamsay burger in @Harrods yesterday and have to say it was a big let down. Slow and confused service, no check back and you'd have thought I'd ordered a Big Mac, not an £85 burger. Nowhere near the standard I've come to expect from GR restaurants.

‘Slow and confused service, no check back and you’d have thought I’d ordered a Big Mac, not an £85 burger,’ they said.
‘Nowhere near the standard I’ve come to expect from GR restaurants.
Another person chimed in and said: ‘Hang on a second…..An £85 burger…..????’
‘Would you pay £85 for a burger? Even if I was a billionaire I wouldn’t!!!!’ said another.
‘Amazing how moronic people are to pay @GordonRamsay,’ wrote another person.
Someone else defended the Kitchen Nightmares star though, and said: ‘It’s Wagyu beef in Harrod’s, wake up! Stop moaning people! Eat elsewhere!’
Granted, this is the most costly item on the menu at Gordon Ramsay Burger at Harrods – but neither are the others.
The lamb burger with blue cheese, balsamic glazed onions, crispy onion ring, blue cheese dressing, frisée, and butter lettuce is a step down.
Sounds good right? And it’s only, er, £35 – without chips.
The cheapest burger option is naturally the vegetarian one, at £22.50, and others start at £25 if you’re looking at saving, like, £65.
Chips are £8.50, and sprinkle some parmesan and truffle on and the humble bowl rockets to £12.50, giving, ‘just chips, please,’ a whole new meaning.
A ‘basic’ side of onion rings with parmesan, chipotle ketchup, and ranch dressing costs £9.50.
If you prefer fish, you’re in luck because lobster roll is on the menu… For £55.
We get it, it’s Harrods…
