Gregg Wallace has said that doctors warned him he would ‘definitely have a massive coronary’ if it wasn’t for his impressive body transformation.
The MasterChef judge spent last year changing up his lifestyle and improving his diet, and had previously shared the results with fans on social media.
Speaking to MailOnline, Gregg has revealed he’s happier now than ever, as he recalled his previous health issues.
He told the publication: ‘I had enormous cholesterol. The doctor rang me seven years ago and said: “We’ve got to sort this out right now or you will have a massive coronary.”
‘I am pretty fit now but my belly bloats. I am 12 stone and less than 18 percent fat, but my belly bloats so everyone just thinks my diet is bad or I drink loads of beer. I don’t.’
He added: ‘I love my life. My home life is just more fabulous than it has ever been.’
Gregg, 56, is currently residing in his Kent mansion alongside wife Anna and their son Sid, 20 months, as well as his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
Speaking of Anna, he admitted she tends to do most of the work, alongside his mother-in-law.
He continued: ‘My wife says: “If it happens inside the front door, it’s my responsibility.” I’ve never had a home wife like this before. I didn’t know people like Anna existed, but there’s also the mother-in-law as well.
‘When they know what nights I am going to be home, they send me menus so I can choose my dinner. I get home and my mother-in-law comes and takes the laundry from my car.
‘It’s an extraordinary thing and these ladies don’t, in any way, consider their role to be secondary. They say they’re doing the other half of the job.’
Gregg added that this is who his wife ‘wants to be’, and she has chosen this role for herself.
The star previously told fans last April he had lost four stone, and has since been sharing his workouts and nutrition tips on Instagram.
He also said the change has knocked ’10 years off’ him, with his new lifestyle leaving him feeling ‘incredible’.
Gregg previously told The Sun: ‘I know I look good now compared to those days when I had a beer belly, but I also feel incredible.
‘I feel Like I have knocked at least 10 years off.
‘Once I found that I didn’t have to slog away on a treadmill for 30 minutes and that exercise could actually be enjoyable, I was addicted.’
You go Gregg!
