Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin were the absolute picture of proud parents as they posed for a selfie with daughter Apple at her high school graduation.
Oscar-winner Gwyneth, 49, shared the image on Instagram on Thursday and captioned it: ‘Congratulations to all of the graduates especially @applemartin.’
Just moments before the snap was taken, she and ex-husband Chris, 45, were seen sitting together at the graduation ceremony at LA’s Harvard Westlake School watching the 18-year-old walk across the stage to receive her diploma.
The Goop founder looked California casual in a wide-brimmed hat, several gold necklaces, sunglasses and a sleeveless outfit, while Coldplay frontman Chris kept it smart in a black suit with a matching tie and buttoned-up white shirt.
Apple, who bears a striking resemblance to her famous mother, wore a green graduation gown and her blonde hair in loose waves.
Gwyneth celebrated Apple’s 18th birthday last month and marked the occasion by sharing a picture of the youngster posing in front of a mirror.
She wrote alongside the snap: ’18. I’m a bit of a loss for words this morning. I could not be more proud of the woman you are. You are everything I could have dreamed of and so much more.
‘Proud doesn’t cover it, my heart swells with feelings I can’t put in to words.’
She continued:’Happy birthday my darling girl. I hope you know how special you are, and how much light you have brought to all who are lucky enough to know you. Especially me.
‘I say it all the time and I will never stop… in the words of auntie Drew, I was born the day you were born. I love you. Mama.’
The star, who previously revealed that it was Chris who came up with Apple’s unusual name, often posts about her close relationship with Apple.
In March, she took to Instagram to wish all the women in her life a happy International Women’s Day, and posted a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation she had with Apple.
In the post, she credited her daughter as ‘the woman on the cusp of it’, adding: ‘This woman gives me hope for the future of sisterhood, and for the future of our planet.
‘And this woman has made me the woman I am today more than anyone else.’
Apple is the eldest of two children the star shares with Chris, as they also have son Moses, who turned 16 last month.
Chris and Gwyneth were married from 2003 to 2016, having split in 2014, but have remained close since the split (or conscious uncoupling, if you will.)
The Shakespeare In Love actress is now married to Glee co-creator Brad Falchuk while musician Chris has been dating 50 Shades of Gray actress Dakota Johnson since 2017.
