If election day over in the US wasn’t stressful enough for Hailey Baldwin, then her beloved cat breaking its leg as the presidential race played out definitely was.
Hailey owns two Savannah cats, who are part domestic cat and part-African Serval cat, called Tuna and Sushi, with husband Justin Bieber and their furry pals set the couple back a huge $35,000 (around £27,000).
Justin bought the identical-looking cats, who are brother and sister, as a wedding present for Hailey after they tied the knot in their second wedding last year, with Tuna costing him $15,000 (£11k) and Sushi coming with a price tag of $20,000 (£15k).
The pair are completely smitten with their kittens, with Justin even setting up Tuna and Sushi with their own Instagram page, so you can imagine just how devastated Hailey was to find out poor Sushi had broken his leg.
She took to Instagram with a snap of her holding her injured cat in her arms.
Little Sushi had one of its front legs bandaged up in a blue cast that was personalised with his name.
Hailey wrote: ‘Trying to balance the stress of election and my cat breaking his arm in the same day.’
She is, of course, referring to the fact that the presidential election in the US, where current president Donald Trump and Joe Biden are going head-to-head, is still playing out.
Votes are still being counted across in a few states in America, with a final result yet to be declared.
Hailey has been following the election closely and was among the stars urging fans to vote, before polls closed, earlier this week.
Following her post about Sushi, Hailey hasn’t revealed any more details on her cat’s condition or how he had injured his leg.
Sushi’s injury comes just months after the cat had gone missing for a month.
Hailey’s husband Justin revealed in March that Sushi had finally been found, weeks after he disappeared and he ended up ‘miles and miles away’.
Taking to Instagram to celebrate Sushi’s return, Justin said: ‘Almost a month ago, my pal sushi decided to run away, after weeks passing by Hailey and [I] began to lose hope that our baby was gone :(.’

‘Yesterday we got a call that somebody found our baby… it had made it miles and miles away! He looks extremely skinny and has a very sad [meow],’ Justin told fans, adding: ‘He is home now safe and sound! Thank you god for protecting him!’
He and Hailey were previously criticised by animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) for splashing out a huge sum on their designer cats and not opting to adopt locally.
They accused the couple of ‘not caring’ about the animal overpopulation crisis in the US, but Justin hit back telling the group to ‘suck it’.
‘Ur tripping because I want a specific kind of cat? U weren’t tripping when I got my dog Oscar and he wasn’t a rescue… every pet we get must be a rescue? (sic),’ he said in a statement shared on Instagram.
‘I believe in adopting rescues but also think there are preferences and that’s what breeders are for.’
