David Beckham has thanked the Lionesses for inspiring his daughter Harper Beckham ahead of their Euro 2022 final match against Germany this afternoon.
Celebrities across the country have been rallying around the women’s team, who are set to take on Germany at Wembley Stadium at 5pm.
Millions of people up and down England are gearing up for the big game, which could see the Lionesses take home the first major tournament title for any England team since 1966.
David captured Harper practicing her tekkers on the pitch, with the 11-year-old showing off her skills in bright yellow football boots.
‘Harper Beckham steps up to take the last minute free kick for the Lionesses,’ David commentated as Harper effortlessly tapped the ball into the goal.
‘She shoots! She scores!’ dad David cried out with pride.
‘Let’s go girls and bring that cup home!’ Harper enthused at the camera.
David then shared a message for the Lionesses, telling them: ‘Hey girls, so I just want to say good luck for the final. Thank you for inspiring my daughter and thank you for inspiring the whole country. Bring that cup home!’
Harper couldn’t have looked more excited as she cheered on the England team.
‘We can’t wait to watch you,’ David captioned the post.
Lots of famous faces have been coming out in support of the Lionesses ahead of the big game, with Princess Charlotte and her dad Prince William wishing the players good luck.
Speaking in a video shared by the official Lionesses Twitter account, Shape Of You singer Ed said: ‘I’m in Paris at the moment, but all of my touring team are going to come together and watch the game today.
‘Good luck, it’s coming home! I was so honoured to wear the Lionesses top at Wembley and you guys are just wonderful and you’re gonna win!’
