Harry Redknapp shared his heartache after beloved dog Lulu died.
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner, 73, announced the sad news on Instagram, sharing a snap of his two English bulldogs with fans.
‘We are very sad to have lost our lovely Lulu on Sunday morning…,’ he said.
‘11 and a half years of love, lots of cuddles and walks (Which was Lulus favourite thing to do).
‘Forever in mine, Sandra’s and Barney’s hearts [sic].’
Fans were quick to flood the former Tottenham Hotspur manager’s post with support and well wishes for the family.
‘Sorry to hear about your little dog lulu RIP x,’ a follower replied.
‘Truly sorry to read your post. She will be well looked after over rainbow bridge,’ one commented.
An Instagram user posted: ‘Sending lots of love. This is heartbreaking.’
As another penned: ‘Aww so sorry for your loss… They really are part of the family… R.i.p Lulu xx.’
Harry’s son, Jamie Redknapp, also honoured Lulu on his Instagram story, posting a snap of the bulldog with a heartbroken emoji.
The news comes just after the ITV star explained his other dog, Barney, was rushed to the vets last year when he ate an entire Christmas cake.
He told the Sun: ‘I said, I don’t know if it’s bad for them or what, so I rung the vet, they said: “Get him in immediately”.
‘So we take him to the vet, and they have to pump its stomach, because currants, that would kill them, they would die.’
Harry explained that, despite Lulu not chomping down on any desserts, the vet wouldn’t take any chances – meaning she also had to get her stomach pumped just in case.
‘It would have killed him. So poor Lulu, who hasn’t eaten any, they pumped her stomach just in case she’d ate some, and no one knew,’ he added.
‘She hasn’t even done nothing wrong really, but she had to suffer as well.’
