Harvey Price writes sweet letter to NHS after his Covid-19 vaccine thanking them for doing ‘a good job’

Katie Price couldn’t resist sharing the sweetest note her son Harvey wrote for NHS doctors and nurses after receiving his coronavirus vaccine.

The teenager, 18, was given the first dose of his Covid-19 vaccine on Friday, with Katie revealing Harvey was entitled to the jab due to being clinically vulnerable as a result of his complex condition.

Harvey has Prader-Willi syndrom, septic-optic dysplasia, ADHD and autism.

He was forced to return to hospital after suffering with a high temperature as a reaction to the jab, but Katie has assured fans Harvey is ‘safe and well’ and he’s now penned a letter, thanking doctors and nurses for doing ‘a good job’.

Taking to Instagram, Katie shared a photo of the letter that had been handwritten by Harvey. It read: ‘ Dear NHS doctors and nurses, I am writing to say well done for looking after Harvey and everybody and doing a good job with my injection on Friday.

‘You are all proud of me. You work heard ever day. We all need a holiday. I will send you more pictures to keep you happy and safe. Thank you and well done, love from Harvey Price.’

Proud mum Katie captioned her post: ‘I can’t resist showing you this what @officialmrharveyprice has written today with no help … it amazes me everyday what must go through Harvey’s mind ❤️. (sic)’

It comes after Katie was seen stressing to fans that having the coronavirus vaccine is so important, and that they shouldn’t be concerned following Harvey’s hospitalisation.

The Covid-19 vaccine has been approved by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) as both safe and effective and it is extremely rare for people to have a severe reaction to it.

Speaking to The Sun, Katie said she is so ‘happy’ her eldest child Harvey – who was recently seen with Katie in a BBC documentary following her search to find him a residential college – has been vaccinated, as she revealed she was ‘in awe of the NHS’.

‘I don’t want anyone worrying about him as he’s fine now at home eating carrot cake. Despite Harvey’s reaction, he is one of a kind, the Covid jab is so important especially for those in high risk categories. I am so much happier in the knowledge Harvey is safer now he has had his,’ Katie said.

Katie explained how she has to be extra careful with Harvey because of his condition and was advised to take him to A&E when he said he wasn’t ‘feeling right’.

Speaking on social media at the time, Katie said: ‘So because of Harvey’s needs and Harvey’s complex medication he’s on, he had his Covid [vaccine] the Oxford one and he just had his vaccination and his reaction was a really really high temperature, 39.9 and obviously with Harvey, I have to really keep an eye and I couldn’t get his temperature down.

‘I phoned Great Ormond Street and they told me to go to the nearest A&E so that’s what we did. Did all your bloods, X-rays, ECGs, everything, everything was fine they just said it was a reaction from [the] Covid [vaccine] but today, he’s actually on form. The doctors and nurses were fantastic.’

Katie is also mum to four other children; Junior, 15, and Princess, 13, who she shares with ex-husband Peter Andre and Jett, seven, and Bunny, six, from her previous marriage to Kieran Hayler.
