James Argent has revealed he ‘manifested’ his 11-stone weight loss after vowing to turn his life around and get healthy.

The Towie star, 34, shared a before and after post on Instagram, with a video of him at his heaviest and a snap of him smiling in a Snowman T-shirt on Christmas Day, showcasing the weight he has lost.

He told his followers: ‘I spoke this into existence. Dream It. Believe It. Become It! Merry Christmas Everyone, Love Arg.’

In the video, a topless Arg could be seen in a fitness studio saying: ‘By Christmas or possibly even the end of the summer, this is gonna be shredded, the back fat is going to be be gone, the thighs are going to be skinny and the arms are going to be pumped.’

He promised: ‘I’m going to be fit as a fiddle! Fit and strong.’

Arg had vowed to lose weight after being warned by doctors that he could die if he didn’t, after reaching 27 stone at his heaviest.

He has since revealed he has reached his target weight of 15 stone 7lb after being spurred on to do it due to the dangers of being overweight and having asthma amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Arg had undergone a gastric sleeve operation in April to help him lose weight after completing treatment in rehab following two near-fatal overdoses.

Since then, James has worked to overhaul his health and fitness after explaining on Steph’s Packed Lunch earlier in the year how he felt at his lowest.

He explained: ‘It felt horrible, I was always extremely uncomfortable, I couldn’t look at myself in the mirror.

‘It felt depressing and it just wasn’t me. Now I’m starting to feel like myself again and I’m excited about what the future is going to bring.’

He added at the time: ‘It was scary being 27 stone… It was serious, doctors were telling me how dangerous it was… I knew it was something I had to address pretty quickly.

‘[It was] nerve-wracking leading up to [the surgery, but] it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. I’m over six weeks post-surgery and I feel great.’
