The dust hasn’t quite settled on Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s recent wedding, but the Made in Chelsea duo is already looking ahead.
Former TV stars and podcasters have confessed that they are already planning to expand their family and have children.
After formally becoming husband and wife in London the month before at the Chelsea Registry Office, the couple married in a magnificent star-studded wedding in May at Villa Las Sirenas in Andalusia, Spain.
They’re not wasting time, though, with Sophie, 29, stating that there’s already a lot of baby discussion going on.
‘All of Jamie’s friends have babies so they’re all like, “So when are you starting?”’ Sophie told OK! magazine.
‘I’m like [to Jamie], “So when are we starting?”’
Jamie, 34, replied: ‘If we can be honest about it, Sophie [was] like, “Right, we should get going.”’
They are not only considering having children, but they are also hoping for a huge brood.
On how many kids they can see themselves having, Sophie said: ‘Twenty – we don’t know.’
Either way, 20 children or three, it seems that having a family is priority number one on the cards, with Jamie adding that having a family would be ‘the most amazing thing in the world’.
‘I saw someone say that the best thing that’s ever happened in his life is being called a dad.’
However, before they embark on their infertility adventure, Jamie and Sophie want to climb on the housing ladder together and have set their sights on Barnes in south west London.
The couple began dating in 2019 after becoming friends on the E4 show Made in Chelsea. They are now podcast hosts for their successful show, which has since been rebranded The Newlyweds.
The couple first discussed planning a family after returning from their honeymoon in Panama, which was marred by misplaced luggage and delays.
They are not the only originals. Made in Chelsea celebs aren’t the only ones with ancestors:Tiffany Watson, 29, and her husband Cameron McGeehan announced the birth of their son in late June.
Ollie Locke and his husband Gareth are also expecting twins through surrogacy after suffering a succession of losses.
Many of the original Made in Chelsea cast members are also in love, with original Made in Chelsea actress Cheska Hull confirming her engagement and former cast member Andy Jordan marrying Alexandra Suter in a low-key wedding last month.
