Jamie Laing has been accused of breaking tier four rules by travelling from London to visit his mum in the Cotswolds for Christmas.
London and parts of the south-east had entered tier four restrictions, meaning travel outside of the area and household mixing was banned. Overnight stays are also not allowed.
The new rules came into effect in the capital on December 20.
The 32-year-old shared an Instagram video of himself making cocktails on Christmas Day in a kitchen with wood beams. Jamie’s sister also posted a social media picture of herself in a house with a similar-looking ceiling and lights, suggesting they were together.
An Instagram picture on his mum’s farm taken in 2019 also matches the decor in the video from Christmas.
The star later shared a picture of his mum’s Christmas present for him, a painting of his dog.
New tier changes came into force on Boxing Day, plunging around six million more people in the east and south-east of England into the strictest tier four level.
The measures have meant the closure of all pubs and restaurants and non-essential shops, gyms and hairdressers.
Tier four residents are required to work from home and refrain from travelling abroad.
On Monday the UK recorded 41,385 cases, the highest daily total since the pandemic began.
