Jeff Bridges shows off shaved head as he tells fans he’s ‘feeling good’ during lymphoma treatment

Jeff Bridges is ‘feeling good’ amid cancer treatment.

Back in October, the Big Lebowski star confirmed that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, and two months on, the actor has updated his fans on his progress.

The 71-year-old shared a picture of himself lying on a chair on his patio, rocking a shaved head and cuddling his adorable new dog, Monty.

Bridges wrote: ‘Here’s the latest: • Feeling good • Shaved my head • Got a puppy – Monty • Had a Birthday – 71, man.’

Fans and friends wished ‘The Dude’ well and left heart emojis under the post.

Bridges also shared a link to his website where he provided further updates with handwritten notes and fun doodles.

Under his original post, he raised awareness of musicians who are struggling through the pandemic, writing: ‘MUSIC – we need it, man, and all out musicians are having a hell of a time makin’ a living these days w/ the Covid deal – no venues, can’t play anywhere. Like my dear old friend John Goodwin.

‘Here’s some of this tunes you can stream for free. I’m talkin’ OLD friend, man. We go back to the 4th grade.’

Bridges asked fans that if they liked Goodwin’s music, to support him by donating ‘moola, coinage, snatch, $, money’.

The Crazy Heart actor also shouted out Bernie Glassman, who founded the Zen Peacemakers, and shared a donation link for the charity No Kid Hungry, who is is a spokesperson for.

Bridges confirmed earlier this year that he was battling cancer, tweeting: ‘As the Dude would say.. New S**T has come to light.

‘I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.

‘I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.

‘I’m profoundly grateful for the love and support from my family and friends. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.  And, while I have you, please remember to go vote. Because we are all in this together.’

The Oscar winner later shared a picture of himself wearing a gown and receiving his treatment for lymphoma, and thanked fans for sending him love.

Bridges is one of cinema’s most acclaimed actors, thanks to roles in films including True Grit, Tron, The Last Picture Show and Hell or High Water, as well as his iconic turn in The Big Lebowski.

He has been nominated for an Oscar seven times, winning best actor in 2010 for his role in Crazy Heart.

Bridges most recently appeared in the star-studded thriller in Bad Times at the El Royale, and will next be seen in the Hulu thriller series The Old Man.
