No one is more excited about Joe Biden being elected the next US president than Jennifer Aniston but mostly because it means the White House will finally have a dog again.
Not only will Biden arrive with a furry friend in January, but it will be the first rescue dog to live in the White House ever.
Naturally, Friends actress Jennifer – a massive animal lover, FYI – was absolutely elated at the news.
‘The future’s looking good,’ the TV star wrote in her Instagram stories alongside a photo of her own pet pooch.
She then reshared a post about Biden’s beloved dog Major who the president-elect and wife Dr Jill Biden adopted from the Delaware Humane Society in 2018.
Jennifer captioned the post: ‘We love to see it. Major will be the first shelter pup to move into the White House.’
Major is a German Shepherd mix and clearly the Bidens’ pride and joy alongside their other dog Champ, who is an older German Shepherd.
It comes weeks after a video surfaced of Biden basically saying current President Donald Trump couldn’t be trusted because he didn’t own a dog.
‘Trump is the first President without a dog in the White House in over a century,’ the video said.
It then cuts to a photo of Biden with his German Shepherd named Champ and says ‘Choose your humans wisely.’
Just last month, Jennifer announced that she had adopted another dog named Lord Chesterfield.
With a video of the adorable puppy sleeping, the Morning Show actress revealed: ‘Hi! I’d like to introduce to you the newest member of our ? family….this is (a very tired) Lord Chesterfield ❤️. He stole my heart immediately.
‘A HUGE thank you to @wagmorpets for the incredible work you do. Grateful you take such great care of these rescues and find them their forever homes.’
Jennifer celebrated news of Biden’s win against Trump in the heated US presidential election yesterday with a meme of her Friends character Rachel cheering with joy.
Endorsing Biden for president, Jennifer previously wrote in an Instagram post: ‘She wrote: ‘#IVOTED for @joebiden and @kamalaharris. I dropped my ballot off, and I did it early.
‘I voted for them because right now this country is more divided than ever. Right now, a few men in power are deciding what women can and can’t do with their own bodies.’
She continued: ‘Our current President has decided that racism is a non-issue. He has repeatedly and publicly ignored science… too many people have died… ‘This whole thing isn’t about one candidate or one single issue, it’s about the future of this country and of the world. Vote for equal human rights, for love, and for decency.
‘PS – It’s not funny to vote for Kanye. I don’t know how else to say it. Please be responsible.’
